On Wednesday, 19 June, Minister of Economic Affairs Martin Dulig honoured Saxony's most innovative founders and entrepreneurs and the state's best knowledge and technology transfer projects. For the first time, alongside the futureSAX Audience Award and the Special Award for the Saxon Chambers of Trade, a special prize was also awarded for technology transferers.

“From programming industrial robots to window ventilation systems or the development of a bratwurst that is better for your heart, this year the range of innovative entries has again been varied and fascinating. Every one of these entrants demonstrates that Saxony has an excellent research landscape, high innovative potential and a buzzing start-up scene”, said Martin Dulig in his keynote address, before the award-winners were announced at the futureSAX Innovation Conference in Dresden’s Ostra-Dome.

Dulig encouraged the more than 500 scientists, budding company founders and new entrepreneurs to continue to pursue new paths in the future: “We need creative minds with innovative ideas. We need smart minds with the courage to start up an enterprise. Together, you are the future of Saxon business. This is the only way for us to continue the success story of the innovative state of Saxony.”
